Celebrate Independence Day
the Right Way
A private 10-hour sailing charter on Martha’s Vineyard
There is no better seat for Independence Day on Martha’s Vineyard than the deck of a sailboat, and we have built the perfect day to celebrate it.
Our private 10-hour charter allows you and your crew to enjoy the holiday at your own pace, from a sun-soaked morning on the water to front-row seats for the fireworks over Edgartown Harbor.
The Day
We pick you up at 10:30am from your choice of Lake Tashmoo, Vineyard Haven Harbor, Oak Bluffs Harbor, or Edgartown, and from there the day is yours. Expect a morning of sailing, swimming from the boat, and beach stops at some of the Vineyard’s most beautiful anchorages. Lunch is a picnic wherever the anchor drops.
By late afternoon we make our way into Edgartown, where the 4th of July parade steps off at 5pm along Main Street and North Water Street, featuring floats, marching bands, antique automobiles, and one of the most photogenic parade routes in all of New England. We will get you ashore in time to catch it all.
After the parade, enjoy dinner on land at one of Edgartown’s iconic restaurants or return to the boat, the choice is yours. Then settle back into your front-row seat for a summer sunset at anchor, followed by the spectacular fireworks lighting up the sky over the Edgartown Lighthouse and harbor at dusk. There is no crowd to fight, no parking to find, no jockeying for position. Just your group, on the water, with the best view on the island.
After the show, we drop you off in downtown Edgartown to either continue the festivities or return to your island accommodations.
