Parking:
Some metered parking is available in the Village of Woods Hole. There are a few private parking lots in the village.
The Village has a parking information website here: https://woodshole.com/about/map-parking/other-smart-ways-to-get-to-woods-hole/
In general, parking is extremely restricted during the summer months in the Village of Woods Hole (Town of Falmouth).
In our experience, the most reliable option is to utilize the paid parking outside of the village of Woods Hole that is provided by the Steamship Authority ($25/day). Take their free shuttle bus from the parking lot to the Steamship Authority Terminal, then walk about 3 minutes from the terminal to 66 Water Street, just over the Eel Pond Bridge.
We recommend arriving to park at least 45 minutes before your charter begins to allow time to wait for the shuttle and for the shuttle ride. The shuttle is subject to the same traffic conditions as the rest of Woods Hole—especially at rush hour or when the ferry is arriving or departing.
There are two primary Steamship Authority lots available:
- Palmer Avenue Lot: 286 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth, MA 02540
- Thomas B. Landers Parking Lot: 22 Technology Park Drive, East Falmouth, MA 02536
Click here to check which lot is the preferred lot on the day of your arrival (look under the Martha’s Vineyard travelers info):

Important: If you go to the wrong lot and it is full, you will miss your scheduled arrival time and may forfeit a portion of your charter time.
Shuttle:
Once you have parked and secured your vehicle, walk to the shuttle bus stops in the parking lot. Sometimes a bus will already be there waiting to pick up passengers. To improve your chances of getting a seat, try to park near a shuttle stop and approach any bus already waiting in the lot that has a driver sitting in it.
Dock Location:
The small dock is down the stairs to the right of the Eel Pond Bridge keeper’s control room at 66 Water Street. We will be tied up to the dock awaiting your arrival.

If you arrive before us, make sure you cross the bridge immediately so you don’t get stuck on the ferry terminal side when the bridge opens for boat traffic. The bridge opens as needed, typically every 30 minutes at the top and half-hour marks.
If you arrive at 66 Water Street and cannot locate us on the dark blue-hulled sailboat with two masts, call us at 508-456-7245.
Note:
Do not accidentally go to the “Falmouth Harbor” area, where the Island Queen and the Falmouth-to-Edgartown ferry depart. This is the wrong ferry line, the wrong parking lot, and the wrong harbor, and you will be at least an hour late for your charter departure time.
